Twelve Powercom employees donated blood at the local Red Cross Blood Drive. The Red Cross reached its goal in pints and will be setting up more walk-in clinics for donors in the upcoming months.

Powercom employees collected food for local charities. All together employees collected 734 items that were donated to the Dodge County Food Bank and to PAVE. These organizations were thankful and appreciative that they could rely on Powercom to help with the fight against hunger.

Powercom sponsored a band at the Dodge County Fair on Saturday evening. The band played in Radio Park and all in attendance listened, sang, danced and had fun.

Powercom sponsored the "4th Annual Beaver Dam Men's City Tournament". This annual event has become popular and is growing each year. Golf Professionals Tony Walter (Old Hickory Country Club) and Tony Arvold (Beaver Dam Country Club) organized this successful event.

Powercom sponsored a band in Campbellsport. This city was celebrating the 100th anniversary of their "Fireman's Picnic" by holding a picnic for the community.

Powercom sponsored a unit in the parade in Columbus on the 4th of July. Along with the festivities and fireworks Powercom was able to promote DSL service.

Powercom promoted local telephone service to Richland County residents by sponsoring a wagon in the Richland County Dairy Days parade. Everyone loves a parade.

Powercom was a major sponsor of "Race Into Summer" held at Swan City Park. This event attracted a large number of people with singing and music in the band shell, craft vendors, racing, food and fun for all.

Congratulations to Lori Giese from Powercom for participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Lock-Up. She raised $170.00 with the whole event raising $13,250.00. MDA is striving to find treatment and a cure for 43 neuromuscular diseases while working to improve the quality of life for those served by the association.

Powercom sponsored kids by donating bags for the "Share Fair" held at the Beaver Dam Mall. Kids were able to participate in activities and gather useful information.

Powercom provided internet access at "no charge" for Habitat for Humanity. The network of volunteers and benefactors are the primary source of funding and growth for this agency. This donation helped to fulfill one family's dreams with a first home in Ozaukee County.

Powercom held it's annual Kick Off Dinner on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at The Golf Club At Camelot in Lomira. The Chairman/CEO, David Larkin praised the accomplishments of 2003 and set the stage for the goals of 2004. The theme for this year's event was "You're a Star" and the red carpet was rolled out to acknowledge Powercom's employees.

Powercom took part in the Dodge County Toy Bank again this year. The staff donated and shopped for over 100 Dodge County children this year. The group shopped, bagged, and tagged the toys in record time, completing the task in less than three hours.

Powercom hosted a group of Waupun Home Schoolers on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. The home schoolers and their parents met with some of the departmental managers at Powercom, enjoyed a tour and received token gifts as they departed. The children had many questions for our staff.

Powercom hosted a food drive for the local food pantry and PAVE from October 27 through November 21. The goal for the food drive was 500 items. Powercom employees collected over 1,100 items.

Powercom sponsored a hole at the First Annual Habitat for Humanity Golf Outing held at Rock River Hills in Horicon. Powercom provided tee shirts for all participants and helped Habitat for Humanity to raise over $5,800.00.

Powercom employees enjoyed an action packed event at The Raceway @ Powercom Park on Saturday, September 6, 2003. Employees shared the excitement of good food, fun and fast cars on Powercom night at The Raceway @ Powercom Park.

Powercom Donated a One Year Unlimited Internet Package and a 6 Month Unlimited Local Phone Package to the WBEV/WXRO Children's Radiothon. The 27 hour Radiothon raised over $80,000 on June 19 & 20.

Powercom honored three employees as they retired in 2003. The three employees had a combined total of 34 years of service with Powercom. Filling their shoes will be difficult and they will be missed.
